The LifeShare Pastoral Team
Recently at LifeShare, while doing a series called “Come Holy Spirit”, we reintroduced our Pastoral Team. These leaders have been in place from the inception of LifeShare, about 5 years ago, or shortly there after.
The only difference is that we recognized and honored 3 new couples as Licensed Ministers and gave them some greater responsibilities. We placed Daniel and Ida Murphy as our Prayer Pastors, Josh and Jennifer Lewis as our Media Pastors, and Pete and Rosalind Thevaos as our Seasoned Saints Pastors.
Under God, and legally as a non-profit church organization, I’ve been given the authority to install 3 levels of Christian Leaders. Those levels are: Ordained Minister, Licensed Minister, and Commissioned Minister.
An Ordained Minister is someone who is called by God, gifted, proven, and committed to a lifetime of leading a full-time ministry. A Licensed Minister is someone who is called by God, gifted, proven, and committed to ministry at LifeShare Church, to share in the responsibility of the Lead Pastor. A Commissioned Minister is a faithful believer and partner of LifeShare Church that has committed to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus.
Flowing from the understanding of Paul’s teaching in Ephesians 4, it’s imperative that every local church has anointed (gifted) and appointed leaders to foster vision, unity, care, growth, and service toward the advancement of the Kingdom of God. We are honored that the Holy Spirit has brought a wonderful group of like-hearted leaders together to build LifeShare Church.
The Holy Spirit, is the fire within every believer that burns with passion for Him and His good purposes. The local church is like a fireplace where all of us can burn — hotter, brighter, and safer — together. Leadership gives us the direction, guidance, and inspiration we need to flow together as one peaceful and united part of the body of Christ. With this, God-ordained, leadership support, everyone can burn as one mighty flame for God.
Keep us in prayer as we review our vision, place new leaders, and train others in the 5 areas of our vision: Worship, KidMin, Prayer, Media, and Seasoned Saints. The Holy Spirit has been gracious to add many new families to the LifeShare Church Family and they are eager to serve the Lord. We are determined to hear everyone’s journey with Christ, understand their God-given gifts, and place them in the body of Christ where they can be best utilized. Praise God that we have many new LifeShare Partners that are eager to be used by God. The best is yet to come for you and your family, and the great city of San Antonio!
