Flood Relief Team
We took a great team from LifeShare this past Saturday to do search and recovery in Hunt, Texas after the devastating flood. We worked with many others on the Fort Fleming Ranch to find the body of a 22 year old young man by the name of Aidan Heartfield. Thankfully his body was recovered for his family to have a memorial service to remember the time God gave them to enjoy. Thank you to all who gave and served in this outreach.
Gabriel Caraveo and I went up on Tuesday to Kerrville to help with tree cutting and cleanup after the river flood disaster. There’s a lot left to be done and a lot of volunteers, but more help is always needed, if you are available. The Center Point Volunteer Fire Department between Comfort and Kerrville has a lot of supplies. We borrowed 2 high end Stihl Chainsaws, gas, and oil and we were off to make a dent in the disaster relief effort. We went back to the firehouse for a hot BBQ lunch and snacks and then left it all out on the riverbank. It was exhausting, but rewarding. We prayed for the Holy Spirit to connect us to the right people and we ended up working with a retired Army Colonel and an Army Ranger. It was a good fit for Gabe who is a retired Army Chief Warrant Officer. And I’m a soldier in God’s Army, so it was perfect. Thank you for your prayers and support for the Texas Hill Country.
