Out of Darkness into His Wonderful Light

CHOSEN GENERATION

27 Years Ago, in 1999, I was honored to lead CHOSEN GENERATION Student Ministry at Destiny Church in San Antonio, Texas.

We had a great group of young people that learned to live the life of Christ in those early years and have grown up to be amazing men and women of God. They have wonderful marriages, beautiful families, they’ve started businesses, built impressive careers, or lead impactful ministries.

Now, I’m the lead Pastor of LifeShare Church, at age the age of 50, and I’ve brought a new group of powerful Young People to summer camp in East Texas.

And last night, during the worship service, the Lord reminded me of that great season in our life and ministry with CHOSEN GENERATION.

I hear the Holy Spirit saying, “Jesus had three close friends in Peter, James, and John, and all of us need the same.
Bad company corrupts good morals, but a three stranded cord is not easily broken. When one falls down, the others can help him or her up.

Jesus has chosen you for friendship with Him and with others that you can lean on. Don’t walk alone, walk in Christian community. Let Jesus give you a hug through one of your trusted friends that carries the Holy Spirit. Let Jesus live His light through you!

You are a Royal Priesthood that can approach the throne of Grace with your friends in time of need, you are a Holy Nation that can receive the perfection of Christ in His presence, you are His Special People called for such a time as this, and you are Not Ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ because it is the power of God unto salvation.”
